Few missing details: Syllabus / sample questions

Few questions,

 Syllabus that needs to be covered by the game
 Few sample questions i.e. one question of each question type?

Once this is available the problem statement will be clearer.

    Hi Megan,

I am wondering what the things are been taught with the game.

The learning objectives talks about background knowledge that the players have. But I am looking for few examples like.

Sam plats 12 trees in 4 days. We need to plat 60 trees in 5 days how many friends Sam needs to help him finish on time.

That will clarify direction of game & we can animate problems for better understanding.

    Thanks for the quick response.

    Hi Gangadhar,

To answer your question, there is no specific syllabus that should be addressed. Instead, the game should address a learning progression in any topic of mathematics (K-12). For examples of learning progressions, please see the Learning Progressions tab http://etsgameschallenge.com/details/learningprogression.

We are refraining from posting sample questions as we do not want to influence designers to follow a specific path. If you’d like more guidance, we suggest that you design for one of the learning progressions that we have provided as they do provide examples of student thinking at each stage.

Thank you for your interest and please do not hesitate to contact me at support@challengepost.com if you have further questions.

    Best,
    Megan
