Some thoughts on mathematical formalism and game design

I wrote a blog post the other day with some thoughts about mathematics, formal notation, game design, and the ETS Assessment Games Challenge. Someone from ChallengePost came across it and encouraged me to share it here as well, so here you go:

    Very interesting. I am afraid that using mathematical notations can scare many people away who may have liked the game otherwise? On another note, the same virtue may get the attention of mathematicians who should not be the target audience of this exercise? Lot to think about here. Thanks for sharing!
